Home/About Us

Please consider giving a home to one of our dogs - young or old! They'd love a forever home with a comfy space of their own to curl up in. Please keep checking as more arrive or contact us to discuss your options. Thanks.

Ardal continues to make brilliant progress and is loving the playful company of Bailey. He is really ready and in need of his forever home now and would be a great companion for another young outgoing dog. He loves to play with his toys, is excellent about being left in the house now. He is extremely kind and gentle with his fosterer's 4 yr granddaughter and has improved significantly with meeting other dogs. He is also now neutered and at a great point to move onto the next stage of his life – his forever home. He still needs someone with some dog experience and someone who is calm and understanding. Ardal thrives on being given confidence from his handler. In return for understanding and the ability to make occasional allowances with him, you will get a loyal, devoted companion. He does have one dietary stipulation, he must be fed on Burns dog food. No doubt as a result of his past abuses, his dietary system has been compromised, we have found that absolutely nothing else has worked for him!!
Ardal has attended a few fund raising events and has coped really well as he loves human fuss and attention - and he is a good looking boy. He would be an excellent companion dog for another confident dog.
Ardal came out of an Irish dog pound about 3 months ago in a poor state of health and very frightened. He is in a foster home now and is beginning to build up trust. He is an intelligent, sensitive boy. We believe he is about 21 months old, he is microchipped, vaccinated and neutered.

Dee is enjoying playing with a new companion and we feel she would enjoy the company of a lively biggish playmate, she has no food or toy aggression issues and plays happily in her foster home. She is proving to be a very happy, outgoing girl, confident and friendly. She is good in the house and clean overnight. She loves to play with toys, and is a great traveller. She is boisterous and playful, so probably best suited to a home with a larger tolerant dog, or as an only dog. Because of her size and fun character, she will not be homed with children younger than teens. She is keen and still short on manners so will need someone with experience of handling larger dogs and it is unlikely in the near future that she could responsibly be off lead in public areas so will need a reasonable sized secure garden for play time. If you feel you can offer this striking girl with her fancy socks the opportunity to become a well rounded member of canine society, please do get in touch. She is fully vaxed, chipped and neutered.

Hero is just the most stunning hound. Lemon and white Saluki X, about 2 years old. Hero has 'worked' so is keen with rabbits, but seems to know his manners well and showed no interest at all in chickens. He is also known to be well socialised with all sizes of dogs too. He has only recently arrived and is in kennels currently. This is a dog who can turn heads. These pictures were taken at the sanctuary in Ireland.

Bailey is a young lurcher boy, believed to be around 12 months old. He is a very friendly, happy boy. He is good with other dogs and adores children and is kind and gentle even with the youngest (with correct supervision of course). He is very uncomplicated and real family dog material. He loves to play with Ardal his foster friend too. He will be neutered shortly and will then be ready for his forever home.

Joey has just arrived. He will need some assessment yet, so please watch this space for updates as we get to know him better.
